Glyfada Downtown is the lively centre of Glyfada, in the southern suburbs of Athens. Palm-lined streets, cafés, bakeries, restaurants and boutiques are all around, and the seafront is a short walk away.
Staying here means you rarely need a car: walk to the beach in the morning, browse the shops in the afternoon and choose from dozens of restaurants in the evening. For the Acropolis and the historic centre, take the tram along Poseidonos Avenue.

Getting around
The tram runs along Poseidonos Avenue to central Athens, buses connect the coast and taxis are easy to find. You rarely need a car.
Day trips along the coast
Vouliagmeni Lake, the beaches of Vouliagmeni and Varkiza and the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion are easy trips along the coast road.
